I think the About blurb here on Mary's page is a great description of how she works. We met with Mary on the one-year 'pre-versary' of our wedding, and I didn't even notice- but she did! She was so friendly and had a sweet personality about her, we were relieved tat we had found the officiant for us. Her enormous wedding packet was a Huge help in customizing our ceremony. In the end, it was exactly what we wanted, and nothing that we didn't. Our ceremony was very secular, and even the more traditional of my relatives commented on how great Mary was! Even though we basically wrote our whole ceremony, using Mary's packet to help, she didn't come off as reading a script- she made it personal and so appropriate to us.My husband and I live out of state, and Mary made sure we knew how to get our marriage certificates and even took our extra check and order form to the town hall for us, when she dropped off our finished license. That way we received our copies in the mail, without having to make a special trip back to RI, I thought that was nice!

Reverend Mary Powers is amazing! She is beyond professional, kind, enthusiastic, accommodating, organized! She is an absolute pleasure and delight to work with. She did a wonderful job at our ceremony...attended the rehearsal...explained everything...She is a bounty of knowledge, and very detail oriented. She made everything so easy...She is simply wonderful!

Loved her!!! We didnt meet mary until the day of the wedding, i was a little sketchy not meeting her before hand. But once i saw her i was so relieved, she was the most pleasent woman ever! she was so sweet and made our ceremony perfect, she had a smile on her face the whole time and she has one of those contagious smiles. I would definitly recommend her to everyone!!

What can I say about Mary? She answered all of my questions quickly, which I love. We had a fairly short, non-religious ceremony and she was fine with that. I sent her some passages that I liked and she incorporated everything so well. The whole ceremony was a crying blubbering mess. We did a sand ceremony and a sand dollar breaking, which she wasn't familiar with, but she pulled it off without a hitch. And she made sure she had tissues in her book. She's a doll!

Reverend Mary was fantastic to work with. Once we met with her, we knew she would perform a beautiful ceremony for us. She emailed a large packet of information to us to select our reading, vows, etc. We changed some wording and wrote our own vows, and Mary perfectly performed the ceremony that we designed. We had a beach wedding and Reverend Mary was extremely helpful and flexible in making sure that everything ran smoothly. She went above and beyond for us. Our guests were also very impressed with Reverend Mary - we received so many compliments on her from our guests.

To put it quite simple, Mary is wonderful! Flexible, enthusiastic, willing to do anything / accommodating and efficient. She was probably the one vendor that followed up with me as much as I followed up with her. We truly enjoyed the freedom she gave us in choosing our ceremony.

She was very well spoken and our guests had no trouble hearing or understanding her. She allowed us to personalize our program to include some traditional pieces, some religious pieces, and some personal pieces. She presented everything so well and took such good care of us we didn't even need a rehearsal!

mary was very good. she also married our daughter .we had to post pone about 3 times and she was very understanding. if we renewed our vows again i would call her.
