NEW ENGLAND TENT

We had our wedding at Mount Hope Farm, Bristol, RI on 7/24/10 and used NE Tent to provide the tent and "hardware" rental for us. Aside from the price being a little more affordable than the competition, their service was fantastic! I am a very detail oriented person and had a lot of questions and follow-up for them, more so during the last 4 months leading up to it. Everyone I spoke to there was very friendly and responsive, I felt completely comfortable asking questions. They gave me timely answers, updated me on information they thought I should know, did not charge me until I clearly and verbally said yes to any adjustments. I loved most about them (aside from the beautiful tent and positioning of everything) was their service while I was being a crazy OCD bride getting her ducks in a row to every little detail. They were so patient with me and friendly and also paid close attention to details themselves, so it was a very comforting, easy, and thorough process we went through. I really appreciated that time and effort! Very responsive and professional! The tent was beautiful as well. The whole thing looked perfect and went off without a hitch! And, I can't believe I almost forgot this, it was pouring out and thunder and lightening the 40 min. before it actually started (hot humid and hazy before the 40 min), not a thing was wet under the tent when we got there, the sky cleared up and we had a gorgeous night, full moon and clear sky! Literally the best day of our lives and was the exact outdoor, fun party, relaxed, and beautiful feeling and setting we wanted! Lots of details in a wedding, we were fortunate to have such outstanding experiences with all of our vendors. Would recommend NE Tent to anyone, and am thankful for their quality service on the best day of our lives!

Im writing this review of my HORRIBLE experience with New England Tent Company, located out of Bristol, Rhode Island, to maybe help other brides avoid this kind of disaster for their wedding day. Our wedding was held at Mt. Hope Farm, and was scheduled for September 6. That all changed because of this tent company. NEW ENGLAND TENT COMPANY: FPerry from New England Tent Company called me the Thursday before our Saturday wedding telling me that they won't put the tent up for Saturday night due to incliment weather.Quote: " We will not risk losing our twenty thousand dollar tent" That was our rain backup plan! Our PREDISCUSSED rain backup plan.They cancelled the wedding on us. We had to quickly come up with a solution- move the wedding. It was horrible- all the vendors were able to do it, luckily, but about 50 people didnt attend. 50 LOVED ones.We didnt go overboard with our guest list, these were people really close to us. Can you imagine not having your close cousin there? Or your aunt? Or your husband's best friend from college? Plane tickets were WASTED.___________________________Fast foward to the day of (it was hell losing a day. We missed out on so much- our rehearsal dinner- couldnt get the deposit back, obviously, hotel rooms, and most importantly, my peace of mind. )-The tent was in the WRONG spot- I dont feel as though people fully enjoyed the lawn of Mt Hope Farm. I was very disspointed.-They didnt bring all of the tables we ordered AND PAID FOR.-Our dessert table doubled as our GIFT table. Luckily, once again, B+M was able to help with tables.- Our fuse blew out. TWICE. because they didnt have enough circuit breakers.I cried at my wedding because of this. Can you imagine standing there waiting for your first dance to begin and having your husband run to try and get the music started? It was horrible...-They charged our Credit Card without authorization. For things they DIDNT deliver on- the tables!They still have not refunded us for anything- even with many written requests.-They wont refund ANY money. We paid THOUSANDS more to have it on a Saturday night at Mt Hope Farm, for them to up and say we're going to have it on a Friday?We also lost about 3 thousand dollars worth of food and liquor because of our lost guest count. Never mind all of the deposits, table linens, chairs that were rented- so much.This is by far the WORST vendor we dealt with. I urge you to reconsider spending the more money on Newport Tent Company, or find a tent company elsewhere. I blame everything that went wrong on them. You do not want this for your wedding!!
