HOUSE OF BRIDES

I had gone to three other bridal salons before trying the House of Brides on a friend's recommendation. I'd found dresses at the other salons that I thought of as good options--they were close to what I'd been picturing but none of them really jumped out at me. I went to the House of Brides with my mom (who had been with me at those three other salons), my maid of honor, and my MOH's mom. When I tried on "my" dress at the House of Brides, all of them teared up. (And my mom hadn't teared up at any of the previous dresses!) It was exactly what I'd been imagining, and for a far better price than any of the other options I'd been considering. On top of that, the associate helping us (Marian) suggested a headpiece and veil as well. Immediately I knew that's how I wanted to look on my wedding day.The women at the House of Brides understand style. They have a fantastic eye and are extremely good at matching the bride to the right dress/accessories. I ended up getting most of my accessories there because everything looked great and Marian and Lynda made fantastic suggestions. I also had alterations done there, and everything fit perfectly and looked impeccable. Whenever I would go in for appointments or talk to the House of Brides team via email/phone, they were always extremely helpful and professional.I couldn't recommend the House of Brides more highly. They were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with, and I got to wear the perfect gown that was well within my budget. There's a reason the House of Brides has been in business so long--they know bridal wear!

Such a nice atmosphere, Lynda and Marion really know what they are doing and are so helpful through the wedding dress and bridesmaid dress shopping. My dress and my bridesmaids dresses were the correct sizes and everyone enjoyed their time at House of Brides. They made my wedding prep experience perfect and I will always be thankful to my maid of honor who also used House of Brides. So now we have three sets of brides and bridesmaids through House of Brides. I highly recommend House of Brides for anyone in RI or southern Massachusetts!

I had a great experience at house of brides! I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I purchased my bridal gown, bridesmaids and mother of the bride dress there. However, I would not recommend getting your alterations done there. The person that was recommended I was not satisfied with.

My experience at House of Brides was phenomenal. Lynda listened to every word I said about what I was hoping to find and I actually got the first dress I put on! I initially vetoed the dress but kept comparing every one to the first and Lynda knew well enough to put me back in it. And I LOVE my dress! She also did a great job staying within my budget and was so flexible when I wanted to go back a month later to show my bridesmaids the dress, even staying late one night for me. I would 100% recommend House of Brides to friends and family!

If you are looking for a perfect bridal experience, go to House of Brides!!!! They are just like the show say yes to the dress! :) I originally bought my dress at wishing well bridal in which i didn't have the best bridal experience. I was nervous about the whole purchase in which i felt as though i was just picking out a regular dress. My sister went to try on dresses for she had just gotten engaged months after us. I went and saw how they treated her & made her feel like such a princess. I had to bring my dress over to them and have my experience. I have never met such nice women who see your vision in a wedding dress and find you your perfect gown in a short time! My entire experience with Linda and her team at House of Brides was nothing but wonderful. As a plus size bride I was dreading the dress process and worried I would be stuck in a style dress that was not "me" and limited with my options. Linda was great, very calming, and a professional who knew her stuff. She made me feel comfortable and had multiple dresses for me to try on. There were many I liked, but nothing quite fit the bill of what I was looking for - classic, elegant, sophisticated but also contemporary and fun. That's a tough order to fill. After about a dozen dresses Linda brought me her "pick" for me and I loved it. It was absolutely stunning and everything I had been looking for. It was the one and just like that the process I dreaded most because the easiest and most favorite part of my wedding! I also got all my accessories from Linda and they were beautiful and different from what I've seen elsewhere. I got numerous compliments on everything. I cannot thank Linda and her team enough for what they gave me. I felt special every time I came in and could feel their excitement for me. They found me the dress of dreams which meant so much! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and everyone who is getting married - especially plus size ladies and bridesmaids. Yes, they actually have bridesmaid dresses over a size 10! That was refreshing and my girls appreciated being to try on dresses that actually fit. Thank god there is someone who understands how frustrating it is for size 14+ women!

I found my perfect dress here. The women were so helpful and listened to what I wanted. They also have great accessories and they don't push you to buy more. I like that. I had a special case and I needed a last minute seamstress to alter my dress. They recommended a great lady who lived very close to me, however, she became sick and couldn't do it in the last minute. House of Brides was flexible and helpful, their in-house seamstress was able to alter my dress completely in 2 weeks before the wedding! I highly recommend checking this bridal shop for your perfect dress. Thanks House of Brides!

I bought my gown from House of Brides in Woonsocket, RI. My initial visit there was awesome, one on one personal service and I found my gown! It was the experience you want gown shopping. When I picked my gown up however, I felt less special I guess. I didn't feel like they treated me the same because I had already purchased my gown, vs. before, when I hadn't spent my money there yet! I felt like they treat you special to get you to buy their gown, then once you do, they're all set with you! I also found out that they didn't have a seamstress and that I was going to have to find one, which is something they didn't tell me when I bought the gown. I thought that they were a one stop shop! I did LOVE my dress however and thought they had a really good selection, I would go there any day over David's! After the wedding, I called them about gown preservation and the owner said that she was expecting the kits in the next day and would call me when they came in so I could go pick one up...I never heard from her!

The staff at House of Brides was very helpful. I told them what I was looking for (something super simple, no lace or frills) and they nailed it I think it was dress #7 so not too shabby. I would definitely reccomend them to any friends getting married in the future.

Linda helped me to find the perfect dress. She was polite, knowledgeable, and allowed me to have the "Say Yes to the Dress" experience that no other stores in RI offer. She even helped my mother find her perfect dress for my wedding. People kept on raving about both of our dresses...all thanks to Linda's help! I would highly recommend coming here!

I had a great experience at House of Brides. I actually went there with my mother to look for her dress as I already had one. I fell in love with one of their dresses from a trunk show. They were not at all pushy as I already had a dress and they were extremely helpful. The shop is beautiful and I really felt like a bride, unlike at David's Bridal (where I got my first dress) where I felt like cattle. I loved my dress and I loved the service I got at house of brides.

Service was great. The only issue I had was when I called to schedule an appointment one day and the lady at the store (not Linda) told me to come in one hour before the store opened. This was somewhat of an inconvience.I found Linda to be very knowledgeable about what dresses would fit my body type. She had a perfect idea of my vision of the dress I wanted.

Lynda was a pleasure to work with! I had no clue what I wanted for a dress and Lynda picked me the perfect dress. It was the 5th one she showed me. It is a pleasant and intimate atmosphere. At House of Brides they make you feel like you are the only one that matters. You have 100% of your attendants attention. I highly reccommend House of Brides to anyone that wants a gorgeous dress and a wonderful experience!Thank you House of Brides!

Great experience, Marian was so fun to work with and made my experience really special. The ony problem I had was with the alterations, I thought they were a little pricey and my last appt changes (raise bustle so it d/n drag on the floor) was never done and since I didn't try it on the day I picked it up I didn't know of the problem until I was at the wedding.
