I had a fantastic experience at House of Brides! Andrea was a pleasure to work with and helped me find my dream gown. I trusted her judgment and tried on a dress I thought was too flashy for me, and it turned out to be THE ONE- the dress I felt most beautiful in. Andrea also helped us with bridesmaid, flower girls, and mother of the bride dresses! We had a great experience and enjoyed the process. When their seamstress couldn't alter my gown due to illness, they found me another seamstress to work with, even closer to my house. House of Brides was very professional. The best part of wedding planning was choosing the dresses at House of Brides!

The House of Brides in Woonsocket RI has a great selection and wedding dress shopping there was great. I did have quite a few problems after the dress was paid for and ordered though. My dress has unique lace detail at the hem so it was recommended to me that I order a custom length. So I did and was measured wearing 3 1/2" shoes. They advised me to wait to buy shoes till the dress came in in case I had to compensate for dress length. I should have asked how much the variation may be because when the dress came in and I tried it on I was advised that I would need to buy 5" heels. When I told the sales consultant that I couldn't wear 5" heels she asked me "Why not?" and proceeded to argue with me about the issue. In the end they tairlored the dress beautifully. But I did lose sleep over this one.

If you would like the one on one service you deserve when choosing your wedding gown, you will highly enjoy your experience at House of Brides. I worked with Linda and she was a pleasure. She had the patience and knowledge you need when looking for your dream gown.

did not buy my dress here, but i should have. i decided to go with the place that was 100 dollars cheaper. it was a huge mistake. do not do what i did

DO NOT GET YOUR DRESS FROM THIS STORE! Just to clarify my statement: 1 - they ordered the wrong dress, 2 - they LOST my dress, and they only told me about it AFTER I arrived at their store for my first fitting (mind you I had to drive 3 hours because I was having a destination wedding), 3 - They didn't tell me that there would be additional charges for some of the alterations that I had with them, 4 - I had buttons on my dress and TWO of them fell off when I went to put on my dress the morning of my wedding!!!!! The ONLY good thing about this store is the sales associate, Marion (spelling??)

I found my dream dress and accessories here! The best part is that it was in my budget too. They had the largest selection of gowns out of all the places that I visited. The seamstress did an amazing job and the gown truly looked like it was customed made for me. I am so glad that I bought my dress in RI before I had to move to Atlanta. The service is so much better up there.

The dress was perfect, and they offered everything from shoes to jewlery to undergarments to getting it pressed before the big day. However, their communication style after I had purchased the dress was so-so.

Not at all crazy about House of Brides. It's been "the place to go" in Northern RI for prom dresses and weddings (apparently...I haven't been nuts about the stuff there) for a while, and I just am not at all thrilled with prices, service, or flexibility. They don't keep a lot of dresses in stock, so if you're trying to order a bridesmaid dress or something with less than 6 months lead time, forget it! They just shake their head at you and act like you're being an idiot for not coming there sooner. Went with my mother recently to find a dress (second wedding, evening gown type thing) and they couldn't recommend anything - also, they made my 62 year old mother feel badly for not coming in sooner. Hello, she doesn't need a huge wedding with a year to plan. Not recommended.
