I had every intention of visiting three different bakeries before committing to a cake, but Cappuccino's was our first and last stop. The tasting was phenomenal -- we decided to have a white cake with lemon mousse and lemon curd filling and at our wedding it was even tastier than I had remembered. Our guests raved. Choosing from their many beautiful styles seemed impossible until they showed us a picture of the 'Trump' cake with its fondant swag ... perfectly elegant. Our only regret is that we didn't order a larger cake - in order to have leftovers! We'll definitely be future customers.

Cappuccinos provided a beautiful cake for our wedding day and they were a pleasure to work with in collaborating on the cake details. We gave Kate creative license to design the cake and she did not disappoint. In addition, the cake was delicious with a wonderful flavor profile and a moist, delicious cake! We can't wait to go back for our 1 year tier!

Both the grooms cake and our wedding cake were EXCELLENT, and delicious. I would recommend meeting with Paul in person to discuss your wedding cake. He is not very responsive when it comes to emailing.

DO NOT GET YOUR WEDDING CAKE FROM CAPPUCCINO'S BAKERY. MY WEDDING CAKE FELL OVER AS MY GUESTS WERE EATING DINNER DURING MY RECEPTION. The cake starting leaning as soon as it was put together by their 'experienced' bakery Katie. It continued to get worse and literally 2 layers completely fell to the floor. It was extremely embarrassing and brought me to tears. They claim it wasn't their fault and wouldn't reimburse me for even a small %. Also, we intially met with the owner Paul to talk about my cake and he gave me quote of $1800 - 3 weeks before my wedding, they called me to say they got the quote wrong and it's actually $4500! I tried to get another bakery but everyone was booked. So yes, I paid $4500 for a cake that fell over in front of my entire wedding.

Excellent cake, made exactly to our specifications. Paul was happy to work with our somewhat unusual cake topper, wooden roses, and the result was beautiful and delicious. If you decide to go with Cappuccino's, however, you will have more luck telephoning them than emailing - I was provided with at least 3 different emails in the course of my planning with them. But they are the friendliest people and the cakes are superb.

Amazing Cake! i thought we came in with a pretty complicated cake we found in a wedding book. It involved what we thought was ribbon around the cake, but when they looked at the picture he could tell it was actually sugar ribbon (i forget the word) wrapped around. When we saw the cake that night, we were amazed, it couldnt have been anymore spot on. And oh man, the cake was delicious. And make sure you dont miss the tasting all you grooms, they bring in about 8 slices of some of the best varities of cake you have ever had. well done all around!

We had a small wedding cake - two layers. The large layer was strawberries and whipped cream, and the small layer was mocha fudge. Everyone at our wedding raved about the cake - it was beautiful AND delicious. I took a picture from a magazine and worked with Paul to create a cake loosely based on the picture, but tailored to our wedding. I sent a sample of my wedding dress fabric (pink) and they matched the icing perfectly. I would definitely recommend Cappuccino's Bakery for wedding cakes. If you go into their shop, the sandwiches are delicious too!

Cappuccino's was absolutely wonderful. Paul was very accommodating and had great suggestions for the cake. I showed him a picture of the cake I wanted and the cake he made was 10 times more beautiful than the picture I showed him!!! It was amazing! The butter cream frosting is delicious and we decided to go with the strawberries and cream. Everyone commented on how good the cake was!! I would recommend them to anyone!

What a great value for the quality. This is an area where we wanted to save. We were actually able to get the exact cake we wanted with all the seashells and it was at the entry level price. We were so surprised and thought we wouldn't have to pay more. We were extremely happy when we found out we weren't going to have to end up with a plain white cake with dots and a little flower on top. It tasted delicious and many guests raved at how beautiful it was and how great it tasted. I will definitely go back for future cake needs.

The most delicious cake I could have asked for. We ordered a three tiered cake with two tiers being strawberry and cream/vanilla cake and one tier being chocolate ganache/chocolate cake covered in buttercream frosting. It was absolutely delicious and arrived on time. Paul was so easy to work with and really worked with our ideas. I would highly HIGHLY recommend them.

Cappuccinos Bakery was my third cake testing and it was getting old. It was the best, hands down! Outstanding right from the start. We were greeted by the owners, Paul and Patty Donnelly, who took us and my family into the "Wedding Room". Beautiful! We sat on the sofa,sampled wedding cakes and cookie favors. We were served cappuccinos and listened to Paul entertain us, funny and informative. It was a nice break from life for 45 minutes! Patti was very helpful and came up with some very good ideas and was considerate of our budget. The cake was amazing!All 6 types! We ended up getting the strawberries and whipped cream filling. Our design was the Bud cake, we also got cookie favors with the same design.
Don't waste your time going to other places. You won't be sorry!

Cappucinos exceeded all of our expectations. Not only did they create the perfect exterior for our wedding cake but the actual 'cake' was outstanding. All or our guests raved about the Strawberry Shortcake, Tiramisu, and Chocolate Chocalate layers of our cake. If you are getting married in Newport be sure to check them out.

Recommended to me by a friend, Cappuccinos is a small family-run bakery and cafe that provides delicious wedding cakes. They provide a wide array of wedding cake options - both in tier size, flavors (they had fifteen or so - all fabulous!), colors, etc. Paul sat down for a tasting with us and was both helpful to offer ideas to match our clambake theme and listen to ideas and the questions we had. We opted for a strawberry & cream filled cake to match our theme, and went with a more subtle design style, and they were happy to work with our florist to use fresh flowers to decorate. It was delicious, moist, and the buttercream frosting was perfect - not that scary, flavorless paste you often can get for weddings. Definitely recommended - and if you have a chance, stop by the cafe for lunch or coffee, too!
