The Alla Breve Guitar and Flute Duo did such a wonderful job at my wedding ceremony this past September. The music sounded wonderful and was exactly what I had been hoping for!! And Kristine was very responsive and easy to work with in the planning of the music at the ceremony. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for this kind of music at their wedding!

We were looking for a guitar for our ceremony, but didn't want just a guitar so it was perfect when we found Alla Breve. Their music is absolutely beautiful and the guitar and flute compliment each other so well. It was so easy to do business with them as well. We were running late on our ceremony music choices and when I asked for Come Away with Me for our recessional just a few days prior, Kristine said it would be no problem at all. It was so beautiful!

I talked mostly with Kristine from Alla Breve and I can't speak highly enough of her. I found her to be extremely helpful answering all my questions. She was very responsive to all of our quirky requests. I can honestly say that this was the only part of the wedding that went off without a hitch! My guests all raved about the quality of their sound, and the OLD MANSE where the ceremony was held, asked me for their contact info so that they could give it out to others. I could not be more pleased with Alla Breve! Thank you Kristine!!

We were very happy with Kristine and Steve. Their price was reasonable and they were very professional leading up to the wedding, discussing music with us and even learning a new song that we wanted to use for the ceremony. They arrived and set up with plenty of time and were professional and seamless. Their music on our wedding day was gorgeous and really added a lot to the overall mood of the wedding. We heard Alla Breve perform ceremony music at a friends wedding and it was so beautiful, I knew we’d want to book them for our wedding. They are extremely professional and very easy to work with. Their free demo CD was very helpful in making our song selections. At our wedding, they were on time and performed beautifully. We would highly recommend them!

The guitar and flute are a perfect combination! We had a guest at our wedding who is a music teacher and has perfect pitch, and she said that Kristine and Steve were perfect. We were impressed with them from the moment we heard them at a wedding showcase, and grew to be more and more happy, as we met with them, discussed the song list, and then actually walked down the aisle. They provided us with the perfect mix of religious and secular music for the cocktail hour, and they played our religious ceremony music perfectly. They arrived well before they needed to, and dressed to fit our black tie affair. I would definitely recommend them- no question!

Working with Alla Breve Duo could not have been easier. Their demo CD was very helpful in deciding on songs. The music was beautifully played, even while Kristine had a cast on her wrist - I don't know how she did this, but it sounded great!

Alla Breve was a joy to work with. We had picked up their CD at a bridal show and listened to it many weeks later. While doing so, their Pachelbel's Cannon was like none we had ever heard. It was definitely traditional and incredibly beautiful (i.e. there was a timelessness to it), but there was personality and texture to it which was distinctly Kristine's - as if the person performing the piece had a deep and personal understanding of the music. Because of this piece, we contacted them about playing at our wedding. The wedding itself was held in a very large living room at a club in Boston. So, we wanted them to play while people mingled beforehand and also to play the processional and recessional. We knew the kind of music we wanted, but were not using a wedding planner, so didn't know which specific pieces to request. Kristine was generous with her time and was able listen to what we wanted and make the right suggestions as we also had short intermezzos in between the readings. And even though they did make particular suggestions, we never felt as if we were being asked or forced to choose this piece or that. It was clear that this was our wedding and they wanted to reflect that in the music. Afterwards, many of the guests gave unsolicited praise for Alla Breve. They also executed flawlessly during the intermezzos which need to start and end without a distinct cue. Many of our vendors were husband and wife duos. In the end we found that this is fertile ground for great chemistry and a deeper sense of caring about the work they do. Kristine and Steve are no exception. They work together in a way which only comes by living together for many years. We would hire them again in an instant.

guitar and flute duo, sent me their cd, music was beautiful. they play a wide selection of traditional, jewish, classical, jazz and popular music. unique, gentle sound. played at the ceremony and the cocktail hour, very attentive to what i wanted for my wedding, high level of professionalism and honesty.

Alla Breve Guitar and Flute Duo were extremely easy to work with and met all of our expectations. Their music was beautiful and easily fit the vibe of our ceremony. They were wonderful in terms of meeting with us before our wedding to review all of our ceremony song selections, as well as offered us great feedback about what songs we may want to consider. Alla Breve provided beautiful music for my ceremony. They played exactly what I wanted and I had to do minimal planning with them. My trolley was late so they had to play a little longer in the beginning than originally planned. Everyone at the ceremony thought they did a great job. The only problem I had was that Kristine put my wedding in her calendar on the wrong date so when I called a week before to confirm, she said that they didn't have my wedding in their book. Also, she said they never got my payment to hold the date, when in fact, they did. I showed them the cleared check, and later she found my wedding in her book under a different date. Fortunately, they hadn't booked anyone else, so they came and played for us. They are great, but just confirm your date well in advance :)

Kristine and Steve were very easy to work with. They were willing to work with a family member who was singing at the wedding. The ceremony music was beautiful. The day of the wedding, Kristine was not able to make it, but the sub they had sounded good. I was never notified of this change though - I didn't care since it worked out fine, but I know other may have.

Alla Breve is a guitar and flute duo - their music is beautiful! We had them play during our ceremony as well as for the cocktail hour. We picked out all of the ceremony songs - but they were very helpful with suggestions (we had a difficult time picking out a song for the procession). During the cocktail hour they did their own thing and they played a great mix of music - current songs, jazz, classical, etc). We even had guests mention to us how fantastic they were!

Very speedy in communication. Thought all music was flowing day of wedding, but when I watched my video one song was played that I did not choose, even though I knew it was wrong it still sounded great and everyone seemed to enjoy it as the grandparents walked down the aisle.
